I really enjoyed this. Always great to hear an 'indie' album that breaks the mould - this avoids rockists tendencies or layers of quirky electronics, focusing on the performance and that voice. The pace changes nicely throughout too. Am not sure if I like the main vocalist here, but I certainly admire their uniqueness. One to revisit.

This was a lot more soulful and sensitive than I was expecting. For some reason I always thought Wild Beasts were horrid BritRock. Apparently not. There's so much depth and layers to these songs. They drift off a little at tangents, but there's a strong feeling of tranquility throughout. Decent.
