Enjoyed this, especially the tracks with guest appearances. But it does rely heavily on samples and 'borrowing' of others' songs. I realise MIA is far from unique in this, but I start to wonder where MIA fits into all of this. I enjoyed Mango Pickle Down River particularly, partly because it doesn't seem to rely so much on familiar loops.

So many different styles, so much musical shoplifting. She's a one, isn't she? I love the DIY approach M.I.A. takes to making music: Fuck it. I'll do my own thing and see what comes out at the other end. I always feel energised after listening to her.
