A lovely, joyful album. The harmonies are fantastic, of course. You can hear how they influenced so many others, not least Messrs Lennon and McCartney. The version of Lucille - compared to Little Richard's - shows where this sits on the scales of Rock'n'Roll. Beautiful rather than ballsy.

A little twee but some great guitar solos. The harmonies are spot on, without a vocoder to be heard. Cathy's Clown is a five star song alone. All albums should be 27 minutes long. Or short.
