The singles are great, but I can see why they didn't really do much after this album. The rest of the songs are more-of-the-same filler, in the main. A lovely reminder of that time, and a sound that really reflected what was happening in British music at the time, but the 3 stars are mainly for the (admittedly brilliant) singles.

White boy funk with some superb samba experimentation. I'm a sucker for a Britfunk horn section. This is one of the first albums that I grew up with. It always reminds me of autumn. It left me feeling very happy, despite the often downbeat tales of lost love.
