I'm really unsure about this album. I want to hail it a masterpiece, but I'm not sure that it is. I want to downplay it as background music, but it's clearly far more than that. I think the lack of genre makes it a tough call to describe. I'll settle on superb songs, sung by a poor man's Bob Dylan.

I get storytelling in songs, but the stories here didn't really draw me in, and I didn't 'feel' Randy as an enigmatic performer. This one washed over me without making any great impression.
