i love orchestral music but instead of the orchestra improving the sound of metallica, the sound of metallica ruined the orchestra for me. i don’t know how they managed to make a full orchestra sound cheap and basic to me. NO MORE METALLICA!
ok i am absolutely not listening to all of that. it’s nominally more bearable than the other metallica shite because of the orchestral elements and lack of vocals* but it still sounds so boring and cheesy to me. it sounds like the score of a really stupid action movie. obviously the orchestra involves skill but it’s just STUPIDDDDDDDDD. *nope i just got to the third song and the vocals kicked in so that killed any of my remaining enthusiasm. his voice does sound better here than on the studio albums though.
