I already said it, I'm more into their late albums than their first ones, for all the experimentation paths they took. But these early albums are all solid (really tight, they know their business) & fun pop-rock albums, classic for an ear from our era, but I can understand the thrill it might have been to hear them at the time.
With The Beatles This was the Beatles second album, released just six months after their debut, featuring a mix of original songs and covers. Although the Fab Four were still only in their early 20s at this point, their experience of playing hundreds of gigs in seedy clubs has already made them into an incredibly tight and professional band, buzzing with energy and ideas.
