Opening an album with such a track is something. It really feels like punks playing electronic music in the most agressive possible way --- and it works, feels like a punch in the guts. The truth is, it's pretty entertaining. And there are gems hidden in this album (Narayan, Climbatize) when they set back a bit and let a more progressive feeling taking over. When it comes to Big Beat I have a preference for the Chemical Brothers, from which The Prodigy are clearly the pissed off bigger brother.

This album came out at the arse end of UK rave crossing into 90s lad culture. The result is aggressive, misogynistic and unpleasant, and feels like you are about to be punched in the face by a drunk geezer in an England shirt. I like some of the music, but I really can’t cope with the lyrics or the way they’re sung. I get that the late Keith Flint is now seen as a sort of cuddly grandpa figure but he’s not very likeable on here.
