It was good to actually listen to the Flamin' Groovies, rather than only be a reference in a PWEI song. This is a dirty, dirty album. I needed a shower after listening. Sometimes raking around in rock 'n' roll filth is good for the soul. I loved the old timer covers that closed the album.

This is Good Old Rock 'n' Roll, with the emphasis on the old. It's okay at what it does, but wasn't breaking any new ground even when it was released. Budget Stones, with a bit more Americana sprinkled on top in places.
Am not sure if this is the original album tracklisting or the covers have been added later, but by the second half of this set it has lurched into fairly stodgy pub rock territory. Neither very flamin' or that groovy.
