Vol 4 over Master of Reality or Heaven and Hell? Sure why not.
Always had kind of a hard time with this one, as I don’t love every song here like I do with other Sabbath LPs from the peak days. I do prefer the experimental instrumentals to “Wheels of Confusion” and “Changes”, but I can’t knock this too much, it has two all-timer GOAT Sabbath songs and the band sound as tight as ever. If I could only include 3 of their LPs, this wouldn’t be one, but I still think that the first 6 Ozzy’s and all 3 Dio’s are essential.

This album is fucking tight! The production is a little different from their previous albums; in some ways rougher, but it also seems to work better on most of the tracks, especially for Supernaut, Cornucopia, St. Vitus Dance and Under the Sun. So easy to hear this albums influence on tons of modern stoner metal and doom bands. Maybe it's because this album's coming after the Eagles and Aerosmith, but it's getting a 4.5/5.

Great album. I don't think I've ever listened to it. I listened through twice and enjoyed myself both times.
