This was just ok for me. This era of rap isn’t one I listen to much except for the occasional nostalgic spin of The Chronic. It’s kind of novel listening to all these artists together before they started feuding later in their careers, but the music itself didn’t do much for me
I feel like I respect NWA more than I really care about them and prefer most of their solo material. A lot of this sounds kind of trite and dated more than anything. When it’s good, though, they can be quite clever. C
Not bad, with a few exceptions. I liked Quiet on the Set quite a bit, and found myself bobbing around in my seat as the album went on. I actually think this is a bit of a grower and I'd revisit. 3.5/5
