I loved this album as a high schooler, but it's just ok now. Few songs are still great, but there's too many tracks on this and the payoff isn't good enough on most. 3.25/5
I didn’t get Slipknot when I got into metal, and I don’t get them now. I hate the percussion and I think their songwriting is pathetic. They wouldn’t know a heavy riff if it bit them in the ass. I don’t like being the guy who hates the mainstreamy stuff- I’ll go to bat for SOAD- but I don’t think there’s anything here for me. Just an annoying hodgepodge of sounds. I’d rate this a get the fuck out of my face.
