This album ranged from good to great to for me. My favorite moments were admittedly the ones which most reminded me of the Pixies. Lots of Trompe Le Monde adjacent dissonance scattered around the album, and the occasional twanged out not-country-but-not-rock-either guitar solos. 4/5

Listened to this a lot when I was 20, and I have a strong fondness for it after being obsessed with the Pixies. It's not as strong as good Pixies albums, but I keep it about the same tier as Trompe Le Monde. 3.75/5
