Another decent Aerosmith album. Color me surprised. I enjoyed this one pretty well. It's got enough variety to keep me interested. I still don't like Aerosmith overall, but I was happy not to hate this. 3.25/5
I can’t believe Aerosmith made the Great American Rock Album twice in a row. Well, almost. I think Rocks is tighter and heavier. Most of the songs here are nearly as good, although “Big Ten Inch Record” adds nothing, and if I never hear “Walk This Way” again, I won’t shed a tear, but it has the bones for a perfect rock song. So yeah, a good time, might be a masterpiece if their following album wasn’t even better. A-
