I’m going to be frank- I have a deep-seated aversion to “Brass in Pocket”. Heard it one too many times, so this was always going to be a tough sell for me. But the album is pretty decent all things considered, a solid mix between punk, new wave and (ugh) ska. If it was a little shorter and didn’t have the cod reggae stuff I’d rate it higher. C+

I love me some Pretenders. This album is really great in the first half, but then loses a little of bit of steam in the middle. Overall though it's a solid rock album.

Very good album. I don't think I've ever sat down and listened to a full Pretenders album. Liked the variety on here. 4/5
