So I have tried to get into The MSP at other times and have found them too bombastic, too Queen-like (I hate Queen), self-indgent, etc.. And this album started out giving me a similar impression. But halfway through, specifically with the song; The Girl Who Wanted to be God, my opinion started to turn and U actually liked every song right to the end of the album. The songs seemed to get simpler, more direct, less overblown and just plain better. 3.5 🌟
