Remain In Light
Talking Heads

I’ve seen this album so much but never herd it I really hope it’s good… The album kicks off with born under punches ( the heat goes on), it’s a really interesting song quite funky but in a really “ messy” kinda way. Yeah probably not my kinda thing but still cool enough to keep me interested. Crosseyed and painless is next, yeah it’s cool. Still really odd my only criticism is that the rattling sound on it gets annoying if you focus on it too much. Side one ends with the great curve, it does sound much the same as the last two but I think the application of this song is better with this cool tribal drumming type sound throughout and the extra vocals at the chorus are cool. Side 2 starts with once in a life time, I think I recognise the chorus but the song itself i’am not too sure still good though and while i’am here I really like the African inspired sound on the album really makes it a unique listen. Houses in motion sounds the most different so far but i’am not sure if that’s the best. I still liked it just doesn’t feel as “colourful”. Then for the song seen and not seen, this is really strange it’s just talking over a beat but too slow to be rapping. So yeah it’s fine I guess. Listening wind has a really cool intro ( which carries on to the song) and honestly a nice pickup from the last two (where my enjoyment started to slip). The album concludes on the overload the slowness here reminds me of the last song on joy division’s unknown pleasures. And while this song isn’t as good as that one and it does drag at 6 minutes it’s a good departure. Overall, it’s cool, very artsy, but a unique and interesting sound, shame there’s only 8 songs.
