So i’am not very well versed in the rap world to be honest, I’ve herd of the wu tang clan and I think I’ve herd of method man specifically but i’am not that sure… As I said i’am not very well versed in rap so I may just end up making a fool of myself. The album feels quite odd to me though because for the most part it’s very likeable the beats are amazing ( I vaguely recognised a ton of samples on this album), the lyrics are very strong and unlike the standard 17-20 track rap album with an endless labyrinth of interludes this album is nicely condensed into 13 tracks. But the rapping lacks a certain bite, a certain energy, aggressiveness and speed that I quite like in rap music. Method man is just too slow for me. There’s still some brilliant tracks though that are rap essentials (e.g. tical, bring the pain,meth vs chef, sub-crazy and especially mr sandman (by far the most mental song on the album)) Probably a 3/5
