Nevermind
Nirvana

This album is the most overrated album of all time yet it’s still a brilliant 5/5 masterpiece… What I mean by that is there’s nothing really special to this album it’s just 12 standard length songs, 10 of which are loud in your face screamers while 2 are more tender acoustic tracks, and a mess of a bonus track that really drags down the quality of the album. Kurt Cobain can’t even really sing and don’t fucking start on the argument that he “sings with emotion” every singer sings with some sorta emotion in their voice the only emotion that I get from his voice is rage. Other people have kinda put me off this album raving about how amazing this is while they mindlessly ignore every other 90’s album. However most of this is redundant when you look at the album in more detail, the album starts off with 3 bangers in a row with smells like teen spirit, in bloom and come as you are I’ve herd nirvana fans (and Kurt Cobain) stupidity hate on the first track mostly because it’s popular but it’s a brilliant single other bands are probably jealous that they haven’t written it themselves, I’ve also saw a YouTube video where someone said they didn’t like it as an album opener the track literally goes “hello, hello, hello” it’s kinda welcoming the listener. Then there is breed which is mindless filler but it’s probably the worst track on the album and as a worst track it’s pretty good. Then my favourite track lithium I don’t know why it’s so good (the chorus is literally “yeah yeah yeah yeah”) but the track just really works. Then is Nirvanas darkest moment polly a slow acoustic track, a true story about a paedophile and captor from the perspective of the paedophile, Cobain done this in a really good way so that it doesn’t turn out creepy in any way and is actually a really enjoyable song. Territorial pissings is 2 and a half minutes of mindless screaming this one took time for me to enjoy but it’s great especially for the lyric “just because you’re paranoid don’t mean they’re not after you”. Drain you is a personal favourite of mine especially for the bridge section which those drums and random gas noises seeping through my ears. Lounge act and stay away aren’t really that notable but I enjoy them. On a plain serves as a climax to the album like territorial pissings this one was a grower on me but once I got into it this track became one of my favourites this one (similarly to drain you) has one of the best bridges ever. Something in the way was a song that I feared it would get ruined after the (mostly) mindless generation of modern music lovers who will believe that any old random trap beat is cool got their hands from it after the batman movie but it fortunately didn’t ruin the song all too much and still stands as one of the best album closers of all time. In conclusion I like this album but I think that this (and nirvana as a whole) is non mainstream music for mainstream people (kinda similarly to guns and roses but I’ll get to that another day).
