This is my favourite Talking Heads album. The pure energy of I Zimbra announcing the arrival of the new Taliking Heads to the world as one of the first purveyers of true African Rhythms in rock music. This would reach its zenith on the next release Remain in Light. But this album I think better combines their punky, nervous new wave roots with the poly rhythms that they would become famous for. Filled with great songs from beginiing to end. My only gripe is the mastering of my somwhere close to original Canadian viny is a little thin and shrill at times. It doesn't allow those gorgeous rhythms space enough to breath the way they do on Remain in Light. 4.5 stars
