This 1001 albums project has utterly failed with the inclusion of this album. This is no album - this is a more expensive version of the single ‘…Baby One More Time’. That’s all the consumer needed. The consumer thought they might get more of the same. But nothing else here is as good as that track - indeed, much of the rest is laughably poor, surely rushed, designed to capitalise off the success of the single as fast as possible. Now, the *song ‘…Baby One More Time’ is an outstanding pop record. And if this was 1,001 songs etc it would have to be included. But this project is not that. We did get more of the same eventually - ‘Oops!... I Did It Again‘ Is ostensibly the same song (even down to the ‘…’), before Britney’s immortality was assured with the magnificent ‘Toxic’ probably the greatest song of the 21st century.
