Guitars sound like pudding, production is just splash splash splash turn it up to 11, the borrows from T Rex, George Harrison and the New Seekers - its a muddy, derivative album but there's something in this rock and roll swagger and attitude that captures the imagination and you can see the appeal of this Don't Give A Toss attitude from the Gallaghers - no art school graduates here. Definitely (maybe?) feels this captures a particular time, atmosphere and mood and perhaps with time, the shine has dulled the impact the album once had - and arguably, their second album was their finest.
