Nothing I write about this album is going to be cohesive so here goes: Ian Curtis and dancing - darkly interesting. A favorite album of a close and deceased friend I feared listening to this and hating it. This album grew on me over time. This album seems like a dark veil that I want to remove but I'm afraid of what hides behind it. This album is like walking in quicksand and the deeper you sink, the less you panic and accept what lies beneath JD and New order are like night and day where New Order is a terrible sound (except for Ceremony and Age of Consent) and JD is darkly original. Artwork on this is a classic I'd much prefer this to punk or any New Wave Highlights: Shadowplay, Day of the Lords, Disorder Lowlights: Nothing. Unless you count the depression that comes along with it.
