A good early Stones album that show Jagger Richards and Jones songwriting and arrangement development. Under My Thumb is the hilight for me and Mother's Little Helper with its use of sitar is a classic too and Lady Jane is a beautiful ballad with an English folk music feel. As for deeper album cuts stand outs are; Stupid Girl, Out of Time and I am Waiting. Now the US version subs in Paint it Black at the expense of Mother's Little Helper Pait It Black is agrguably The Stones greatest achievement, so the US version would absolutely be 1/2 star higher and if there was a version with both songs included that would be a no brainer 5 star album. 4 stars
