I started this album feeling skeptical. Going into it, I wasn’t familiar with shoegaze and after the first 2 tracks I was kind of at a loss. I was reading through some other reviews and read one that said shoegaze is best enjoyed loudly and through good quality headphones - so I listened to the next few tracks just like that and I had a total “oh I get it” moment. Theres something about the distortion and constant fuzz that my brain just likes when it’s being input directly into my ears with no outside disruption.
