I was ready for some good hip-hop when I got this album. It’s not my usual genre of choice but Missy Elliot is a name everyone knows so I was fairly confident this was gonna be a good one. Oh boy was I wrong. This album just fell flat and there honestly wasn’t a track on here that I enjoyed. For a genre that is rooted in lyricism it’s really disappointing when the lyrical content comes across so cringey because it’s way too obvious and direct. Lyricism aside, I thought maybe there would be some good beats. Nope. It was all so predictable and uninteresting. Super disappointing album overall.
