I am only 26 albums into this project and this is the 4th hip-hop record that has come up. When I saw this one pop up. I read the Wikipedia entry and saw that this consists of 39 songs, I resigned myself to a long listening session, also seeing the warning label on the cover of the album I knew I was in for a bumpy ride. I must admit the album was not what I expected. There are songs here that take influence from all manner of genres and I have to admit there was a lot here to enjoy. Many songs get their roots from funk, jazz, soul, and some of the lyrics are just downright funny. There were a couple of songs on here that had a Frank Zappa vibe. There were also a few songs that I could barely muck through. If you cut out some of the weaker songs, this would have been a very solid album but with some of the lesser material, it makes it a bit of a marathon listen.
