I sort of assume that, as an historical artefact, Caetano Veloso represents the Brazilian Tropicalia genre and warrants a place on the list. The fusion of traditional, psychedelia, bossa nova and Indian rhythms is oh-so-sixties - but that is the issue, really, as it sounds a little old fashioned to modern ears, despite a creditable effort and energy.
