A jaunty and heartfelt album. It’s a pretty modern sound for 1996. Seems like they influenced a lot of people to come, Conor Oberst, iron and wine, etc. You can also tell they were contemporaries with Ben Folds Five and other. The Junk soundtrack revived some of this music for me, my main association. Good stuff!
