A Hard Day's Night
Beatles

This album was the OK-est of all the Beatles records I've heard. The best song was the opener, "A Hard Day's Night". I also enjoyed "Tell Me Why" and "Can't Buy Me Love". I listened to this song on the car ride and it kind of flew by in a blur of swingy Beatles sounds. From some quick googling, this album was clearly an important moment in transatlantic rock and roll. I wasn't part of that moment, so I am helpless but to judge it for what I hear today in 2024. It was fine. It was a lot of the same, and it managed to get a bit same-y even in it's very short run time of thirty minutes. The songs are all so short, but many seem to pick up right where the last one left off. 6/10
