Dusty In Memphis
Dusty Springfield

I expected the album "Dusty in Memphis" by Dusty Springfield to be a live album by a country music man. I haven't knowingly listened to her before, but this album is really good. "Son of a Preacher Man" is amazing. I've heard it many times before and always enjoy it. "Don't Forget About Me" has me moving. Besides those two songs, the rest all felt a little boring. I'm not a big fan of slow paced crooning songs. The instrumentation wasn't very interesting, and the focus was largely on Dusty's singing and her lyrics. I can see the appeal for someone who loves that, but it doesn't quite do it for me. 6/10
