Black Holes and Revelations
Muse

"You will eat it, and you will like it!" This is one of those bands that came along during a time in my life that everything was going really well. I have a lot of memories associated with Muse. Origins of Symmetry, Absolution and Black Holes came out in quick succession and as such, seems like one continuous album. This was the era where everyone began taking their 100gb external drives to the office and plugging them into the company network ... we were all a bunch of artists working on home entertainment (DVD) packaging. Coworkers were quirky, had left of center tastes and every day was a new adventure in music. I'd spend the entire day in Photoshop with headphones on listening to old, different, and new music. ... It was the original Spotify. On the Friday nights, I'd drive up to Mammoth Mountain while sharing the finds with friends on the 5+ hour drive. Then, continue to spend the entire weekend snowboarding with an iPod in my ears. Interpol, Strokes, Clap Your Hands, BRMC, Secret Machines, Silversun, Bravery, etc... It was a good time and because of these memories, I will always gladly consume some bands without complaining. Muse is one of them.
