There are some good songs here but it all sounds s bit derivitive. The opening song; The River,probably the catchiest on the album, sounds enough like Tiny Dancer at the opening that I found myself singing; Blue Jeans baby.... but if you're going to rip off a piano riff you could definitely do worse. It it's a good song. The next song sounds like a generic honky tonk bar band doing their best song and that theme of songs that lack a personality of their own continues throughout. So it's a pleasant album with good if unoriginal songs that does not beat repeated listens. 2.5 stars
