"The Cutter" is a cool song. It has very Talking Heads sounding percussion and vocals at times. "Heads Must Roll" sounds also sounds like a Talking Heads song at moments. "Ripeness" has fun foot-tapping energy but descends into vocals that annoy me a little somewhere along the way. "Gods Will Be Gods" has a lot of the same energy as the back half of "Ripeness" and I don't love it. This album was pretty OK. It is a cool sound for a few songs, but it got old. They feel like a combination of The Clash and Talking Heads, but don't quite capture the greatness of each. They were formed a few years after those bands, so they were certainly influenced by the same musical moments. 6/10
