"Debaser" has some rough-around-the-edge vocals, but the song is an absolute jam. I was having a great time listening, then the riff for "Here Comes Your Man" came in. Absolutely fire. I didn't know this was a Pixies song. It's so unlike the first few songs, but comes in so hot. The vocals have grown on me, they're abrasive but enjoyable. The riffs on this album are out of control. Basically every song is a jam. It feels like they were made in a lab to play in Allston basements. Knowing they're from Boston makes me like them at least twice as much. This album is a fantastic length. None of the songs drag. There is no pretension, just jams the whole way through. 9/10. I apologize to the Pixies for never having listened to them before.
