There’s only one criticism I have for the album and that’s the fact that all I really want is a grower so it feels weird being song 1 but at the same time I couldn’t imagine anything else being in its place now. The best song is forgiven, it’s so filled with drama and the lyrics are just beautiful. Even when I was younger and didn’t ‘get’ the album I liked forgiven. The singles are great I actually prefer the less popular ones (you learn and head over feet) to you oughta know and ironic. One hand in my pocket is amazing though! Not the doctor and right through you scream underrated both of those songs could’ve been hits too. Wake up, Mary Jane and perfect are great slower moments they work very well for the album, I don’t necessarily listen to them on their own too often and my only excuse is there’s so much good music in the world. I refuse to count the other version of you oughta know and your house, they’re not on the vinyl version and they feel tacked on, if I included it it would diminish the quality of such a good album!
