Angsty early 90s alt-rock by a hugely impactful band, who I admittedly never cared much for. Perry's voice can be grating at times, but it's no doubt one of the most iconic singing voices in the rock genre, and it is on full display here. The band as a collective unit is solid. TIL the back half of the album is a tribute to Perry Farrell's deceased girlfriend Xiola Blue, who died of a heroin overdose in the 80s. It was also credited as helping to inspire Nirvana with 'Nevermind' and ushering in the Led Zeppelin revival.
