I think someone in the comments referred to Common as someone who writes “dad rap”? Is that true? I’m not a dad, I’m not even a guy, but I didn’t mind this album. It was easy to listen to, because there wasn’t a bunch of cussing and yelling. Will I listen again? No. Did I listen to the whole thing? No. But the fact that I listened beyond the first song is really saying something, because I don’t like rap. And you know what, I don’t care if that makes me “uncool” or “a wet blanket” or “no fun at parties.” I know my truth.
