This album has the dance party vibes of Daft Punk (opening track) and the sentimental noise of Wilco (the outro). It doesn’t have many misses and manages to keep things varied and interesting. I definitely hear that 2000s indie sound of peers like Arcade Fire shining through. But also the continuation of new wave vibes and attitude.
