Not gonna pretend I’m down with the kids! I try to be upbeat about most music going in on here, I have many more 5/4 star than 1/2 ratings. She can sing and writes songs so guess that meets the criteria - singer songwriter. But it’s Like a modernising, life draining, take on the concept. No I’m not down with it, it was a painfully shit listen, a horrid waste of my time. Minimising everything, on every song is just brutal, instrumentation and arrangement is crude sounds, with a vocal that’s spent/wasted to create the unsettling ambience, that if it’s your thing then fine, but I had to force myself not to hit the stop button, continually. 1 Star, accept that I am definitely not the target audience, but this was my listen today and after doing so I wish I had not, so I am entitled/forced to write in this box, and the only positive was it reaffirms my old sod stance that modern music is an absolute steaming pile of dog shit, don’t care how many plays this gets (while it’s still supposedly valid) , I’m just sorry I stepped in this and added my 1 play to it.
