Frampton Comes Alive
Peter Frampton

Growing up, I heard "Baby, I Love Your Way", "Show Me the Way", and "Do You Feel Like We Do?" too many times to count, and I always thought it was weird that I never heard anything from Peter Frampton that wasn't on this album. In the pre-internet days, I just assumed he had one live album and that was it. But, no, he has a pretty large discography. What I learned after listening to this album was that the songs I knew were pretty much the extent of Frampton's good songs. And I'm not even that high on "Do You Feel Like We Do?". So, what I've learned is that unless it's a live track with the word "Way" in the title, it's probably not great. There's a few other songs here that aren't terrible, but mostly it's just anonymous sounding 70s rock that could be anyone from the Doobie Brothers to Aerosmith. 3 stars.
