Blunderbuss
Jack White

I was a big White Stripes fan back in the day, so I was excited for this album when it came out, but at the time, I was pretty disappointed by it. Somehow, being freed from the minimalistic limitations of the White Stripes resulted in Jack making a less interesting album. It's not all bad, and there's certainly some good stuff here. "Sixteen Saltines" is one of the best songs he ever wrote, and "Love Interruption" and the "I'm Shakin'" cover are also quite cool. But beyond that a lot of it is pretty uneven. 3.5 stars.
