I haven't listened to a lot of Janis Joplin. The piano and vocals on "Move Over" are awesome. The song has a ton of energy. "Cry Baby" and "A Woman left Lonely" were a little less interesting. The vocals felt a little over the top for the rest of the song. "Half Moon" is a lot groovier. I'm digging the piano and guitar again. The album got a little same-y for me, but I do like the sound. Her singing is a little tough to listen to passively for long periods of time, because she is absolutely going for it. I'd probably only ever listen to one or two songs at a time from this. 6/10
