Not sure why this album makes me think of Sophie B. Hawkins. Maybe because they shared the cover of an issue of Interview magazine ...? This isn't quite as terrible as I though it would be, but it does sound kind of like an act you'd find at a fancy talent show aboard a cruise ship.
