Takes his beach boys influences, but then makes a very individual record, it’s beautiful in places in its own way. I have listened to this probably more than any of the beach boys album since it became available on reissue. His voice at this point is rough, but that just adds to the texture it has so much heart and soul. 5 Stars. Like others have pointed out the streaming version is the release extra tracks from an unreleased follow up, 1st time listen you should always just listen to the album as it was, like all albums on the list.
