Another album where the backstory and production are more interesting than the music itself. Grohl pretty much single-handedly creating this is very impressive and admirable on a technical level even if I find most of the music quite dull and it was the inception behind what would eventually become an incredibly overplayed and only occasionally entertaining music group. I think that's another tough part, it's really hard to have too much of a strong reaction to something like the Foo Fighters other than exhaustion with how much air time they get. While this was only 45 minutes I felt like it stretched every last second out of that runtime, with a fairly monotonous style of sound permeating the whole album. Alongside some very repetitive lyrics to compliment it.
