A long time ago, I was into The Faint. A friend of mine tried to introduce me to Hot Chip a bit later, but I couldn't get into it. He also tried turning me on to Orange 9mm when they were a big deal, so his credibility was somewhat lacking. Instead of listening to Hot Chip around this time, I got into a similar band called Of Montreal which is similar soft industrial dance like this just further out there. For kicks, I listened to The Faint and Of Montreal after In Our Heads. It's evident there was this remote corner of music that made its way into the light and then was shoved back into the corner darkness. I think these three bands (O9mm excluded) are good discoveries for the youngers but none have any life left for me.
