Take Me Apart
Kelela

This is a genre that I am not normally a fan of....modern R & B / Alternative R & B? Damn I didn't even know tha thing. But it is and I like it. At least I like this album. Predominantly elecronic music that is mixed and arranged in such a way as to seem organic. Not a bad little trick. Nowithstanding the studio mastery its the vocals that are the star of the show and there's no mistaking the talent ed pipes that Keleka posesses. The tempos never get up higher that mid, but her voice commands each phrase as to make for a consistently interesting listen to these typicaly un-interessed ears. enough so that I'm tended to delve deeper into Keleka's catalogue. 3.5 stars bordering on 4
