This was great 80's synth rock. Everyone's heard the two big hits, but I didn't realize the rest of the album might be just as good. In fact, I think "Hungry Like The Wolf" might be the worst song on here, and it's not a bad song at all. What I kept thinking throughout this was that every one of these songs would still be a great song if it was covered in another style. You could turn all of these in to traditionally instrumented rock songs, and it would lose some of it's electronic charm, but the songs are so well written on their own that they would still be great without the synths. You could do house style remixes (which have been done for a lot of Duran Duran's songs) and they'd be club bangers. You could sample so much of this and turn it in to a great beat. It goes on and on. Special note for the cover art - it's incredible. I can't look away from her.
