I've never listened to this album. It's not what I expected at all. It sounds quite different from Number of the Beast. It feels a lot more restrained? They're still going hard as fuck and there's a LOT going on, but it sounds less like Iron Maiden than I expected. The vocal style is also a little different. It's less theatrical. This album rocked front to back. I enjoyed it a lot, but didn't love it. It was missing that extra bit of something that they pick up later in their discography. My favorite songs were "Transylvania" and "Iron Maiden". 8/10
